Dan Dersham is a real estate transactions attorney who advises institutional owners, investor groups, and private clients on complex commercial real estate matters. He has represented Fortune 50 companies, national and international banks, real estate investment trusts, family offices, and top-tier commercial landlords, as well as individual investors and property owners. His work includes office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and development projects across multiple markets.
Dan is particularly experienced at the intersection of real estate transactions and construction. He regularly structures and negotiates architect, consultant, and construction agreements in connection with significant commercial projects. His helps clients allocate risk effectively and guides projects from entitlement through completion.
Dan began his career in federal and state civil litigation, an experience that informs his transactional practice and allows him to anticipate and mitigate disputes before they arise.
A Michigan native, Dan is an avid mountain biker and, before law school, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Jordan.
